"How do I store these mailers?"
To maximise their shelf-life, please keep products from our comPOST Range away from direct sunlight (preferably in the dark) and in a dry place. Please also make sure you rotate any older stock so that it is used first.
"What is the shelf life?"
We recommend these products are used within 9 months of purchase. While technically, they have a shelf life of 12 months, we allow for shipping time, storage etc. After 12 months the material may start to lose its elasticity, become more brittle and the seams weaker.
"I already have compostable mailers from Better Packaging Co. Can I use these?"
Only if they are the same size range as stated here: M, L, LL, XL, XXL. The great news is that if you’re a MailPlus customer, you can reorder here for great wholesale savings.
"What are these mailers made from"
- Corn starch (from corn not fit for consumption).
- PLA (Polylactide, which is made from waste corn too and other plants).
- and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate). Better Packaging Co. has a really detailed blog post about PBAT and what it is made of here.
"Do these dimensions include the flap?"
No, they don’t!
"What weight/thickness are the bags?"
The M size is 63um and all other sizes are 81um.
